Tottenham: Thomas Frank “feels the confidence” of the board of directors despite the pressure

At least one member of the club’s executive team has raised the option of ending Frank’s reign in recent weeks.

Tottenham is ranked 14th in the English Premier League, having won only seven out of 22 matches this season, and it appears that large segments of fans have already lost confidence in the former Brentford coach.

He was taunted by his fans with ‘You’ll be sacked in the morning’ chants at the weekend, but Frank believes he can win back the fans’ trust.

“As long as we win football matches and make sure we win enough of them, everyone will support us,” he said.

“It’s not about me. It’s about supporting the team and the players.”

Frank added that he only has 11 players from his usual first-team squad for the match against Dortmund.

He said: “We need everyone to support us from the first minute. Especially the team, especially the players. If we get this support, anything can happen. Magic can happen.”

Tottenham is in 11th place in the Champions League and victory over Dortmund is considered vital to continue their hopes of automatically qualifying for the knockout stages.
