The Essential is a staple in many of our review team members’ kitchens. We love that it works well for all kinds of tasks, whether you’re making a sauce or browning some meat. Its high walls prevent grease from splattering onto the work surface, and it can be used as a flat-bottomed frying pan or even a Dutch oven. It is also dishwasher safe.
If you tend to splatter your fried vegetables right out of the pan, a deep fryer is just what you need. This pan has a large cooking base, but high walls to keep your ingredients inside the pan and off the stove. Plus, the sides are flat, so you can use them for pressure if you’re flipping something with a spoon.
A good stainless steel skillet is a non-negotiable in your kitchen arsenal. This 12-inch skillet is neither too big nor too small. You may face a learning curve if you’re used to cooking on nonstick materials — make sure the grease or oil is hot before adding food — but once you master cooking on stainless steel, you’ll likely use it more frequently than other pans.
This induction-friendly nonstick skillet is medium-sized and versatile, so it’s suitable for sandwiches, French toast, eggs, and stir-fried vegetables. As with all PTFE coated pans, you should choose the lowest heat you need, and you should avoid overheating an empty pan. Use non-stick and safe utensils too! Every chef needs a solid nonstick skillet in their cookware pantry. This deal is great if you’re in the market.

This bowl has a large capacity and is great for holding soups, stews, and stocks – also known as the three most important meals of the fall and winter. I also like to use pots like this to reheat large batches of leftovers. The interior has a non-stick PTFE coating, so be sure to use safe non-stick utensils. Non-stick stock pots are great for preventing vegetables from sticking or for cooking without excess fat or oil.
This nonstick pan features a wide bottom and straight sides, which helps prevent food splatters while maximizing the cooking surface. The PTFE coating allows for easy turning, mixing and maneuvering, and the lid lets you control evaporation or lock in heat. I also appreciate the long handle and the extra handle on the other side when I move the pan to the opposite counter or stove.
Live out your waffle house chef’s dreams with this double burner grill. It measures 13 x 20 inches and is perfect for cooking pancakes, eggs, or burgers. It’s not as convenient as an electric grill in some ways — there’s no built-in grease trap — but it also won’t take up an entire kitchen cabinet or valuable counter space on a Sunday morning. They are technically dishwasher safe, but we recommend hand washing them to preserve the PTFE coating.

Mixing copper, aluminum, and 18/10 stainless steel makes it some of the best heat-conducting pans WIRED reviewer Scott Gilbertson has in his kitchen (aside from cast iron). He uses a smaller version for sauces, boiling potatoes, making bourbon bacon bark, and countless other tasks. He says this is the backbone of the kitchen. The included lid reduces evaporation.
The holiday cookie season is quickly approaching. This baking kit will help you prepare gifts for all your neighbors, friends, and neighbors’ friends. It comes with two cookie sheets and a wire cooling rack, so when you’re baking large batches, everything will have a chance to cool before decorating. I can attest to the strength of non-stick cookie sheets, and that same coating makes them easier to clean when you’re done with all the baking. If you need a set with more pieces, including a muffin tin, select this option.
This nonstick grill measures 16 x 13 inches, so it’s large enough for a small turkey or a large batch of roasted vegetables or other sides. Since they’re nonstick, you probably don’t want to rely on scraping something to make a sauce with your gravy, but they’ll still come in handy if you regularly roast delicate items and simply need a large pan that can handle the high heat of the oven.

If you’re looking for a way to roast your holiday meats, this is a good option. (Just note that it doesn’t come with a stand.) The stainless steel roaster measures approximately 16 x 13 inches and can comfortably fit a turkey weighing up to 20 pounds. They’re oven safe up to 600°F and durable enough that you can scrape the bottom to make a sauce using all those combined flavors.
Being from the Midwest, I know all too well that “barbecue season” is more of a state of mind than an actual time of year. All-Clad makes great outdoor cookware that I use often while doing any outdoor cooking, whether from my backyard or camp. This set includes an 11-inch round grill, large grill, and grill grate. They’re perfect for imparting that grilled, smoky, charcoal flavor without the risk of losing your asparagus or salmon to the flames below. And I like that the handles are large enough to hold while wearing oven mitts.
You really don’t want to use metal utensils on non-stick pans. This set comes with all the nonstick kitchen accessories you’d often reach for, including a slotted spatula, rotating spatula, flexible slotted spatula, and ladle. You’ll also get a case so you can store it on your nightstand instead of shoving it into a drawer and crossing your fingers so you can open it later. It is heat safe up to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
What are full factory seconds?
The Factory Seconds event is run by Home and Cook Sales, an authorized distributor for All-Clad and several other cookware brands. Items on sale (usually) have minor blemishes, like scuffs on the pan, a misaligned name stamp, or just a dented box. Each product on the Site lists the nature of the shortage in the title (e.g., packaging damage). You will need to enter an email address to access the sale.
While defects vary, the dealer says all cookware will perform as intended. Should an issue arise, almost every All-Clad Factory Seconds product is backed by the All-Clad Limited Lifetime Warranty. (Electrical items have a slightly different warranty; see individual product pages for details.) We used more than a dozen Factory Seconds pots, pans, and accessories, and they all worked exactly as advertised. Just remember that all sales are final, and note that you will have to pay $10 for shipping. It’s also worth noting that ‘before’ prices are based on purchasing new items, but we still think they give a good indication of how much you save for the value you get.
