50 Cent’s reaction to Zahran Mamdani’s victory in the New York City mayoral election

50 Cent reacted to Zahran Mamdani’s victory in the New York City mayoral elections on Tuesday, November 4. He posted two photos on Instagram, including a hint at New York’s death.

Zahran Mamdani was announced as mayor of New York City on Tuesday, after Democrats won the election. He became the city’s first Muslim mayor.

50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis James Jackson III, responded to the announcement on Instagram. He shared an AI-generated image of a gravestone, which read:

“RIP NYC. Founded 1624. Died 2025.”

He also wrote “RIP NYC” in the caption.

In the second post, he shared a photo of a box with a lid and a bottle of some alcohol, among other things. He wrote in the comment:

“New York is packing, let’s go! A man’s first job is to run NY Mayor Mamdani. @bransoncognac I need a drink! @50centaction”

Khamsoon has, remarkably, been vocal in his hatred of Zahran Mamdani. The latter gave an interview on Breakfast Clubpublished on June 11 of this year, where he also talked about his tax plan. According to Hot New Hip Hop, Fifty shared a clip of it on his Instagram account and wrote in the caption:

“Where did he come from? Who is this friend? I don’t feel like that plan. No. I’ll give him $258,750 and a one-way first class ticket away from New York. I’ll tell Trump what he said too!”

Mamdani is known in particular for his socialist views and also praised himself as a democratic socialist during the election campaign.

Zahran Mamdani responded to 50 Cent’s criticism

New York City’s new mayor addressed 50 Cent’s comments in an interview on MSNBC’s The Beat, released on Monday, November 3. In it, he addressed 50 Cent’s comments about his tax policies. He clarified his politics again while also joking that he still listens to the rapper.

Zahran Mamdani said:

“He’s a critic!” “This is a very specific amount of money,” I said. Oh, my God!”

He then explained his tax policies again before jokingly adding:

“And even though we have a falling out, every time I get a death threat, I still listen to ‘Many Men.'”
