Rob and Michelle Rayner died minutes after attack, death certificate says, as children announce memorial | film

New details have emerged about the deaths of Rob Reiner and Michelle Singer Reiner, whose bodies were discovered on Sunday, December 14, at their home in Brentwood, Los Angeles.

Their death certificates were issued by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, which were obtained by TMZ and reported by multiple US outlets. They recorded that Rob Reiner’s body was found at 15.45, and that of singer Reiner at 15.46. The cause of death for both was determined to be “multiple blunt force injuries” with the circumstances described as “homicide” and “with a knife by another person.”

The interval between the onset of the attack and death is stated in minutes, while the time and date of death are recorded as “unknown.”

Under “Type of Disposition,” the certificate records “Cremation/Residence,” but there is no confirmation that the body was cremated.

Two of Rayner’s family members issued a new statement Tuesday saying a memorial service is being planned. “Jake and Romy Rainer remain grateful for the outpouring of love and support they have received. They will share information about a memorial service to honor their parents at a later date.”

Reiner’s son, Nick Reiner, appeared in court on December 17, but did not enter a confession. He is scheduled to return to court for a hearing on January 7.
