๐Ÿ“Œ **What Youโ€™ll Learn**:

WordPress on Thursday launched a new Claude Connector, enabling site owners to share backend data with Anthropic’s chatbot system. Users can control what specific data they want to share, and can also revoke access if and when the user chooses.

Notably, Claude is granted read-only access, which means he will not be able to change anything within the user’s content management system. However, WP claimed last year that it would eventually offer “write-in” access to the MCP integration, allowing users to perform editorial tasks directly from the connected chat client of their choice.

Anyway, after linking Cloud to an account, users can ask the chatbot all kinds of questions about the site data it’s been given access to โ€” from summarizing a site’s monthly web traffic to running an analysis of posts that have low user engagement.

WordPress also provided a list of form prompts for the chatbot โ€” things like โ€œShow me the pending comments on my blogโ€ or โ€œWhich of my sites get the most traffic?โ€ Or “Show me which posts generate the most discussion.” Other functions include comment management (โ€œShow me pending comments on my blogโ€) and plugin management (โ€œWhat plugins are installed on my main site?โ€).
