πŸ“Œ **What You’ll Learn**:

OpenAI co-founder and president Greg Brockman is officially taking the reins of the company’s product strategy, according to Wired.

This appears to reinforce change already in place, as Brockman is overseeing OpenAI products on an interim basis while the company’s AGI deployment CEO Fidji Simo is away on medical leave. Wired also reports that in a memo to staff, Brockman described plans to integrate ChatGPT and the Codex programming product into one unified experience.

β€œWe are enhancing our product efforts to execute with maximum focus toward the future of agents, to create a win-win for both consumers and enterprises,” Brockman reportedly said.

This is just the latest change at OpenAI since CEO Sam Altman announced β€œcode red” at the end of last year and said the company needed to refocus on the core ChatGPT experience. Since then, OpenAI has discontinued β€œside quests” including the Sora video generator and OpenAI for Science, and is highlighting its ambitions to build a β€œsuper app” for AI.

TechCrunch has reached out to OpenAI for comment. Simo, who remains on medical leave, worked with Brockman on the changes, the company told Wired.
