Jacoby Brissett stars in the Arizona Cardinals’ five-game losing streak to the Dallas Cowboys

Quarterback Jacoby Brissett starred in Kyler Murray’s absence as the Arizona Cardinals beat the Dallas Cowboys 27-17.

The 32-year-old threw for two touchdowns and ran for a score as the Cardinals ended a five-game losing streak in Arlington, Texas.

Brissett was selected for the third straight week with Murray still sidelined with a foot injury.

“This is what we do it for. It’s hard to win in the NFL,” Brissett said.

“It’s hard to win on the road. It’s hard when things aren’t going your way and the outside noise is pulling you to other places and things like that.

“When you don’t look for results, you find the results themselves, and you just have to rely on the work.”

Despite his performance, Cardinals coach Jonathan Gannon said “nothing has changed” regarding Murray being the first option once he is fit again.

Marvin Harrison had a career-high seven catches for 96 yards, including a four-yarder for the game’s first touchdown, while Trey McBride scored.

The Cardinals remain at the bottom of the NFC West with a 3-5 record, while the Cowboys have a 3-5-1 record and are in second place in the NFC East.
