โœ… Main takeaway:

Sheehan has managed 39 games for Swansea, including a seven-game spell as caretaker manager in the 2023-24 season.

In all competitions, the 39-year-old’s win percentage of close to 44% is very respectable.

Sheehan’s 35 league games at Swansea netted 52 points at an average of 1.48 per game.

Had this comeback been repeated during the Championship season, Swansea would have had 68 points, enough for sixth place in the 2024-25 season.

The problem for Sheehan, of course, is the points return this season.

If they continue like this, Swansea will finish the 2025-26 season with 52 points, which would have meant they finished in 18th place last season.

Sheehan himself will say that 18th is not good enough.

So far, there has been no indication from within the club that the position of head coach is under threat.

Swansea return to action after the international break against eighth-placed Bristol City on November 22, before a midweek home clash against 10th-placed Derby County, and a trip to West Bromwich – currently 14th – the following weekend.

Assuming he remains at the helm of the company, Sheehan knows it could be a big week.
