A big development on SmackDown after Sami Zayn lost him backstage

Sami Zayn lost it all during a SmackDown backstage segment when he accused a member of Jey Uso’s family of taking him out, only for the finger to be pointed at him. As a result, a major plot twist is teased.

For some background, SmackDown, before Elimination Chamber begins with Jey Uso, the final entrant, being stretchered out in an ambulance after a mysterious attack. Drew McIntyre insisted he didn’t do it, and throughout the show, fingers were pointed at him. At one point, General Manager Nick Aldis accused The Vision of taking Jey Uso out so Logan Paul could swoop in and put his name forward. Jacob Fatu also offered to replace his cousin, and Nick Aldis set up a main event between Logan Paul and Jacob Fatu to determine Jey Uso’s replacement.

Backstage in a later clip, Sami Zayn accused Jacob Fatu of being Jey Uso’s attacker. Fatu turned the tables on him and said that during the qualifying match, Drew McIntyre hit a Claymore Kick on Cody Rhodes and he, and no Ali Sami. As a result, Fatu felt that he should be the one to suspect Sami of attacking Jey Uso. This caused Sami to immediately back down and wish Fatu well. Fatou shook his head in confusion and walked away, while Sami completely lost consciousness.

This was a clear hint at Sami Zayn being Jey Uso’s potential attacker, which would be a major plot twist. However, nothing is known yet, and we may not know until later who the person who attacked Jay was.
