Celtic’s visit to Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership, along with Dundee’s clash with Motherwell, has been postponed after heavy rain in the north-east.
Aberdeen announced that Pittodrie Stadium had been deemed unfit for play at 16:23 GMT.
Fourth referee Gregg Soutar conducted an inspection, and the club said it canceled the match “out of concern for the player’s safety.”
Celtic was seeking to reduce the gap with leaders Heart of Midlothian to three points.
Dundee arranged a precautionary inspection with the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) and the decision was taken shortly before 16:00 to cancel the match “due to unprecedented rainfall”.
Dundee said in a statement: “The match referee made the decision, and details of the rearranged match will be announced as soon as possible.”
Dundee struggled with Dens Park two seasons ago and admitted five breaches of SPFL rules after a series of postponements due to waterlogging.
There are three games to go, as Rangers, who are also six points behind Hearts, host Kilmarnock.
Bottom side Livingston will face Falkirk, and Hibernian will meet Dundee United at Easter Road.
