💡 **What You’ll Learn**:
Oh hi! You were asking why does this website even exist?
TLDR: It has 2 goals.
- To become the best place for daily game players to discover new
gamesDaily Logic Exercises (DLES). - To become the best place for daily game makers to launch their new
Wordle clonesunique games.
How it all started you asked?
OK then, some 3 years ago I accidentally made a little daily game called Rotaboxes — it’s super niche, ~5k monthly players, very relaxing and I really enjoy working on it in my spare time. Some time ago I noticed some traffic coming from sites that seemed like DLES aggregators, most notably dles.aukspot.com. So of course I went there and discovered many more daily games I never knew existed. I was back then playing daily just Wordle, Nerdle and Rotaboxes. And I was immersed — I started to play from 5 to 10 DLEs every single day, and I kept noting the good ones and kept on playing them regularly. So that’s how my little DLE collection started. I started to categorize, group, order and most importantly I built my own daily ritual.
Then I was browsing Reddit and noticed some people complaining about playing so many games daily that they forget to play some and lose their streak, so I thought — hmm, maybe my ritual could be helpful to others. I put together a plan and started building. Today, some 1 year later, the site serves thousands of players monthly and features 3 to 4 new daily games every single week. That’s crazy, isn’t it?
A couple of rules, so we understand each other.
- All the games listed on dles.gg are played and tested manually by me.
- I don’t list games that are not daily.
- I don’t list games that are not browser based.
- I don’t list games that are not free to play.
- I don’t list games that I don’t like.
- I don’t care if you made your game by hand, pixel by pixel, or if you used AI tools to build it or generate assets — but I hate slop. If the game lacks love, care, and a proud ownership with a human behind it, I won’t list it.
- I make a subjective call on whether to list a game based on a bunch of criteria (I’ll write about these later).
How can you help
If you regularly play a game I don’t have in my collection, submit it here.
If you made a game I don’t have in my collection, submit it also there (ha, it’s the same place).
If you love a game — add it to your ritual. You will never forget to play it and it will increase the game’s popularity and help it rank higher in the most-popular section. If you feel strongly about a game, rate it! 5 stars for absolute must-play, 1 star to be avoided, and anything in between. This helps other players discover the best games in the top-rated section.
As you can imagine, it’s near impossible to play all 839 games every day, and as we all know, maintaining a daily game is a lot of work — so sometimes, some games just stop working. If you spot one, please click on that Report broken button. I regularly check these and remove games from the site if they are no longer active. Thank you.
If you’d like your favourite game to be featured, get in touch at peter@dles.gg — we’ll figure something out.
Oh, and you’re asking how you can help personally? Amazing! Submit games, rate games, add them to your ritual — that all helps others a lot! Share your ritual with your friends. If you want to support this site financially, I accept coffee donations through BuyMeACoffee (btw, this will also unlock the entire rotaboxes.com archive for you).
So that’s it, really. Happy solving.
-Peter
