Adam Pearce officially announces a huge triple threat match for the WWE Championship in the main event on Saturday night

This weekend, the main event of WWE Saturday Night will feature more than just a few title matches. A huge triple threat match has now been added to the show.

Dominik Mysterio was on the verge of becoming the #1 contender in WWE RAW for the Intercontinental Title, as Penta and Rusev faced off against each other. However, thanks to Mysterio interfering with Los Americanos, neither superstar was able to win. As a result, Adam Pearce has now announced a new title matching the show.

Dominik Mysterio was making excuses about this and saying that Los Americanos came up with this themselves, but Adam Pearce wasn’t having it. It was announced that since a No. 1 contender could not be determined, both Superstars would face Mysterio for the title in a triple threat in the main event on Saturday night.

“What’s wrong with you? Penta and Rusev are not going after Los Americanos. Penta and Rusev are going after you. On Saturday Night’s Main Event, you will defend the Intercontinental Championship against Penta and Rusev in a triple threat match.”

Now the star will defend his title in a match he did not want in the first place.

This is the fourth WWE title match to main event Saturday Night

Saturday Night’s Main Event has already seen several matches lined up for tonight. The Night card now looks like this.

• Undisputed WWE Championship Match: Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Drew McIntyre
• World Heavyweight Championship Match: CM Punk vs. Jey Uso
• Women’s Championship Match: Jade Cargill vs. Tiffany Stratton (c)
• Intercontinental Championship Match: Dominik Mysterio (c) vs. Rusev vs. Penta

With four matches now on the card, fans will have to wait to see if any other matches will be added to the show as well. Next week should reveal more about what other matches could be added.
