📌 **What You’ll Learn**:

AI-powered design platform Picsart is launching a program to monetize creators, the company exclusively told TechCrunch. The program is open to all creators, with no invite lists or minimum audience size required.

The program invites creators to create original content using Picsart tools for a specific campaign, share it on their social channels, and earn revenue based on how their audience engages. Picsart says the program is designed to reward production and creative performance, rather than focusing on size or number of followers.

By launching the Creator Monetization Program, Picsart is evolving from a creative tool into a platform where creators can generate revenue. The company likely sees this move as a way to attract and retain creators.

Once creators sign up for the program, they have access to a dashboard that displays all the current prompts and creative challenges they can participate in. For example, a campaign could ask creators to create cute fluffy creatures using Picsart Aura, the platform’s AI-based conversational assistant that can create and animate photos and videos through text or voice messages.

Picsart points out that simply creating and publishing AI images without creative efforts will not lead to meaningful engagement or profits.

Once content is created, creators fill out a short form with the URL of the asset submitted directly on social media, tag it according to the campaign requirements, and add a brief description of how they created it within Picsart. Content is shared directly to the creator’s Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and X accounts.

Earnings are calculated based on views, comments, shares and reach. Creators can track their earnings directly on their dashboard and withdraw funds through Stripe.

“We’ve always believed that creativity should be for everyone — and now the rewards should be as well,” Hovhannes Afoyan, founder and CEO of Picsart, said in a statement. “The creator economy has a structural problem: platforms have never really committed to compensating creators every day. Earn with Picsart is our commitment to the millions who make this community what it is. It’s open, organized, and straightforward — show up, make stuff, and if your content works, you get paid.”

The company says there are earning opportunities for creators of all types, whether they’re producing tutorials, aesthetic edits, or short videos.

Founded in 2011, Picsart has more than 130 million users worldwide. The company has reached unicorn status amid the creator economy boom in 2021.

The expansion of creator monetization comes just weeks after Picsart announced the launch of an AI agent marketplace where creators can “hire” AI assistants to do various tasks, such as resizing and remixing social content or editing product images on Shopify.
