Aja Wilson drops an epic jibe after Aces manager flaunts unmissable creativity

A’ja Wilson enjoyed the offseason following her successful 2025 WNBA Championship campaign with the Las Vegas Aces, which led them to the title. But as she awaits her WNBA Most Valuable Player award on Christmas, she was shocked to see the Aces’ social media posts that included jokes about the team.

The posts included the Aces, Wilson, head coach Becky Hammon, Jackie Young, Chelsea Gray and Joel Lloyd in many of the puns.

Wilson then made an epic comment on her Threads account, explaining how much the posts had affected her mind.

“This amazing post has exacerbated my learning difficulties 🫥,” she wrote.

The Aces completed a sweep of the Phoenix Mercury in the WNBA Finals to lift their third title in the past four seasons.

Wilson also became the WNBA’s Player of the Year four times in six years. In the 2025 season, she averaged 23.4 points, 10.2 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.6 steals, and 2.3 blocks per game.

She also won Defensive Player of the Year, scoring title, and Finals MVP honors in the 2025 season. Wilson became the first player ever to win such awards in the same season.

Thanks to her recent performances, she has since been considered one of the best players the league has ever seen.

A’ja Wilson’s legacy was cemented after he led the Aces to the 2025 WNBA Championship. Wilson is now considered one of the WNBA’s greatest players, and she spoke about greatness in her interview with ESPN.

According to the ace star, greatness is about waiting for the right moment and being consistent in your work.

“Greatness is being patient, waiting your turn, waiting for your moment,” Wilson said. “And I think that’s what sets us apart, is that you have to be great when the spotlight isn’t on you.”

She added: “You have to be great when no one is in the gym with you. You may not get anything in the end. That’s greatness to me, because that’s consistency, that means you’re doing the right things because they’re right.”

Wilson is expected to continue to rest this offseason as she is not on any roster for the likes of the league.

Later in the year, Wilson would once again return to the Aces to defend the crown.
