💡 **What You’ll Learn**:
At CES 2026, AMC premiered clips from its upcoming TV series “The Audacity,” created by Jonathan Glatzer, a TV writer and producer of shows like “Succession,” “Better Call Saul” and “Bloodline.” The new show will focus on how the men and women of Silicon Valley are shaping the world we live in today.
“They are literally putting cement on the highway that we’re all on with things like artificial intelligence, data collection, social media, etc. And in my opinion, there can’t be a more important group to take a deep look at than the men and women in Silicon Valley who shape the lives we live,” explained Dan McDermott, chief content officer at AMC Networks and president of AMC Studios, speaking at the Variety Entertainment Summit at CES.
As one of the show’s actors, Billy Magnussen, noted, “Silicon Valley is one of those times in our modern era that defines humanity. And what better place to make a dark comedy than one that’s evolving our society at this point?”
The show will also star Sarah Goldberg, Zach Galifianakis, Simon Helberg, and Rob Corddry, and will be set in a fantasy world where no real company names exist, and no high-profile tech figures will appear. However, the show may still strike some familiar chords. For example, Helberg’s character is a maladjusted genius, working to implement artificial intelligence therapy for teenagers, while he himself is a loner, with a teenage daughter whom he ignores.
“I think there’s a loneliness at the heart of all the characters, and they’re all trying to connect, and they’re trying to connect through technology, which comes with some risks,” Helberg says.
Two new clips from performances were broadcast at the event, but recording is not permitted. In one, an excited Magnussen attacks Galifianakis when he meets him eating in a restaurant. Galifianakis never responded but eventually cut him off by stabbing him in the hand with his fork. Another clip showed that Helberg completely missed the opportunity to communicate with his daughter, and instead used her upset facial expressions to train his AI.
The show premieres Sunday, April 12 on AMC and AMC+.
