✅ **What You’ll Learn**:

On Tuesday, Anthropic unveiled its new enterprise agent software, its boldest yet to integrate agentic AI into everyday workplaces.

At an official press conference, Anthropic Americas President Kate Jensen told reporters that the new system will finally fulfill the promise of agentic AI. “2025 was supposed to be the year agents radically transformed the enterprise, but the hype turned out to be mostly premature,” Jensen said. “It was not a failure of effort. It was a failure of approach.”

Under the new software, companies can use the plug-in system to deploy pre-built agents to assist with common enterprise tasks, including financial research and engineering specifications. The result is a major opportunity to grow Anthropic’s enterprise customer base — and a major threat to SaaS products that currently perform these functions.

“We believe the future of work means everyone having their own dedicated agent,” Matt Picolella, Anthropic product lead, told TechCrunch.

Much of the enterprise agent software builds on previously announced technology, particularly Claude Cowork and its plug-in system, which was announced in the Search Preview on January 30. The systems launched today are largely focused on making it easier to deploy these tools within a company, including proprietary software marketplaces, controlled data flows, and custom plugins. The result is a system for deploying cloud-enabled agents with the same controls a company’s IT department expects when deploying software.

“Administrators want to be able to have workflows and skills tailored to their specific organization,” Piccolella said. “This allows the Claude Cowork Foundation Administrator to be able to do this in a very centralized way.”

Stock plugins listed at launch target specific departments found in most companies, including proxies designed for finance, legal and HR departments. Each plugin includes core skills common to different companies, although Anthropic expects companies to modify each plugin to bring it in line with unique needs and habits.

In the case of finance, the Claude Equity Add-on gives the core information and data streams needed to conduct market and competitive research, financial modeling, and other common tasks for finance teams. The HR add-on includes skills for creating job descriptions, onboarding materials, offer letters, and more.

The launch also includes a number of new enterprise connectors, including integrations with Gmail, DocuSign, Clay, and others. These connectors, which were not previously available, will allow agents to pull data and context directly from the associated system.
