💡 **What You’ll Learn**:

Artificial intelligence research lab Anthropic announced Monday that it has signed a new agreement with Google and Broadcom to increase the processing and computing power to power its Claude AI models. The reworking of its computing deals comes as demand for its AI models continues to rise.

These deals will expand Anthropic’s use of Google Cloud’s tensor processing units, or TPUs, the company’s advanced AI chips, and are an expansion of a deal the companies struck in October 2025 for more than a gigawatt of computing power.

This new compute capacity will come online in 2027, Anthropic said in the blog post. The company did not provide details on its compute expansion, but Broadcom’s recent SEC filing shows the deal includes 3.5 gigawatts of compute.

The majority of this computing will be located in the United States and will be an extension of the company’s $50 billion commitment to invest in U.S. computing infrastructure, Anthropic said in the post.

“This pioneering partnership with Google and Broadcom is a continuation of our disciplined approach to scaling infrastructure: we are building the capabilities needed to serve the tremendous growth we have seen in our customer base while also enabling Cloud to define the frontiers of AI development,” Krishna Rao, CFO of Anthropic, said in the press release. “We are making our most significant commitment to computing yet to keep pace with our unprecedented growth.”

Anthropic did not respond to TechCrunch’s request for comment.

The company has seen a significant increase in demand for its CLOUD models in recent months, boosted by enterprise customers and despite the US Department of Defense classifying Anthropic as a supply chain risk. Anthropic also recently closed a $30 billion Series G funding round that valued the company at $380 billion.

The company announced that the company’s run rate revenue now stands at $30 billion, representing a huge jump from the $9 billion the company reported at the end of 2025. Anthropic also has more than 1,000 business customers spending more than $1 million on an annual basis.
