Tottenham Goalkeeper Antonin Kinski was substituted in just the 17th minute after conceding three goals in the first quarter-hour of their Champions League round of 16 match against Atletico Madrid.

The Czech Republic goalkeeper, 22, endured a nightmare start and was quickly replaced by interim coach Igor Tudor with Guglielmo Vicario.

Italian Vicario started most of Tottenham’s matches this season, but he missed Tuesday’s match in Madrid after being criticized for his poor performance.

However, Vicario also conceded five minutes after coming on, giving Atletico a 4-0 lead by the 22nd minute, before Pedro Porro pulled one back in the first half.

Tottenham signed Kinski from Slavia Prague in a deal worth around £12.5m in January 2025.

His first mistake – a slide – gave Marcos Llorente a 1-0 lead in the sixth minute, before Antoine Griezmann added the second goal in the 14th minute.

Kinski was also at fault for Atletico’s third goal as he passed the ball straight to Julian Alvarez to score in the 15th minute.

The guard’s head was in his hands after this terrifying display and he was taken out after less than two minutes.
