✅ **What You’ll Learn**:
European consumers are resisting the United States after Trump’s threats to control Greenland, which is a Danish territory. As a result, two mobile apps that offer a way to determine whether products are made in America, and then suggest local alternatives, have risen to the top of the Danish App Store in recent days.
The Danish App Store serves users in both Greenland and Denmark, and the same applies to Google Play.
The increase in downloads comes as Danish consumers organize a popular boycott of American-made products, which has also included canceling their US vacations and abandoning their subscriptions to US-based streaming services, such as Netflix.
Across both iOS and Android, two apps, NonUSA and Made O’Meter, entered the top 10 this month, according to new data from market intelligence provider Appfigures.
The first app, NonUSA, became the No. 1 app on Wednesday, after earlier jumping from No. 6 on Tuesday, up from No. 441 on Jan. 9. This application is specially designed to allow users to boycott American products in their daily lives. To use the app, users scan product barcodes, then view the product’s origin information on their iPhone. It also suggests local Danish alternatives that users can purchase instead.
Currently, the app’s five largest markets are Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Iceland, demonstrating the Nordic Alliance’s boycott of US products.

Made O’Meter, available on iOS and Android, has a smaller footprint, but is now the No. 5 app on the App Store.
Combined, average daily downloads of NonUSA for iOS, Made O’Meter for iOS, and Made O’Meter for Google Play are up 867% (or about 9.7x) over the past seven days, compared to the previous week.

Of course, the number of downloads the Danish App Store sees daily is very small, compared to larger markets like the US. In Denmark, it may take a few thousand downloads in just one day to reach the top of the App Store. In total, the iOS App Store in Denmark sees around 200,000 downloads per day across all apps, Appfigures notes.
Other apps currently in the top 10 in the Danish App Store include travel app Rejsekort (possibly useful for those rescheduling travel plans!) and other local services. Other US-based apps in the top chart include Shop, ChatGPT, and Microsoft Authenticator.
