Chelsea says President Liam Rosenior Arsenal He showed a lack of respect for his team during the warm-up for the second leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final on Tuesday.

Rosenior was seen angrily shouting at Arsenal players to stay in their own half and not encroach on Chelsea’s area as the teams prepared for the match at the Emirates Stadium, where Arsenal won 1-0 to secure a 4-2 aggregate victory.

“It wasn’t about the players,” Rosenior said. “When you warm up, you have your half and the other team has their half.

“I never asked my team or my coach to encroach on the opponent’s territory. At that moment, I didn’t think where they were working was right, they were affecting our warm-ups.

“I asked them, perhaps impolitely, to make sure they stay in their own half. I’m not here to play tricks on the mind, it’s just what I think is right and respectful. I hope we respect that and other teams do too.”

He added: “There is a certain etiquette in football.

“I have no problem with anyone at Arsenal Football Club. [Arsenal manager] Mikel [Arteta] He is someone I have a lot of respect for. “Just at that moment, I didn’t think that such respect had been shown to my team.”
