📌 **What You’ll Learn**:
Data analysts at Opta still give Arsenal an 81.7% chance of winning the title, based on 10,000 simulations of each team’s remaining matches.
However, pundits are less confident that Arsenal will end their 22-year wait for the league title this season, and many wonder whether Arteta and his players will hold their nerve.
“There are still some questions about the mental strength of the team,” says Patrick Vieira, Arsenal’s former title-winning captain. “When I say now or never [to win the league]This is because other teams are not doing well.
“It would be sad to see them lose that momentum, which is why it’s important that we stick together and create that teamwork to keep performing.”
“I think everyone’s inexperience at Arsenal in not winning the Premier League and being second for three years and getting close to it – that’s down to them now,” five-time Premier League winner Peter Schmeichel told BBC Radio 5 Live.
“It’s not about external pressure, it’s internal pressure. This is something they have to learn [to cope with]They have to learn that quickly.”
However, Alan Shearer, the Premier League’s all-time top scorer, still believes Arsenal will win the title due to the strength of his team, and added: “I don’t think this is the time to panic. You will get elusive results at some point in the season. You have to stay calm.”
Arteta is aware of this fact and told the BBC after Manchester United’s defeat: “The margins are very small and we have made them even smaller. Now we have to respond and see what we are made of.”
The answer to that may become clearer when they face Leeds United at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon (15:00 GMT).
