One of NXT’s top young stars recently attacked NXT North American Champion Ethan Page. In the process, he earned a title match.

Last week, Myles Bourne ran in to attack Paige and demanded a title match by placing a chair around his ankle. Page initially declined, but later accepted the challenge. However, Bourne kicked the chair and damaged his ankle anyway. He posted a photo on Instagram last week, with the following comment:

“I awakened the monster. But I chose the target.”

So far, Bourne has been reluctant to pull the trigger. However, after suffering a broken ankle last week on NXT, we may be seeing a new side of him. This could lead to him becoming more ruthless, similar to Randy Orton in the 2000s.

Ethan Page retained the WWE NXT Championship before being challenged by Miles Bourne

Before his showdown with Bourne, Ethan Page was working last week on Black and Silver. He retained his NXT North American Championship against Shiloh Hill after hitting him with a crooked smile.

However, after the match, he attacked Hill with a vanity project. The attack continued until Bourne came out to save the ball. “Baby Randy Orton” equalized the numbers game using a steel chair. It was the same weapon he used to get a title match next week on the developmental brand.

Page claimed that Bourne was not man enough to pull the trigger and hurt him, which is what prompted him to pounce. All Ego has been champion for 272 days, but his reign may end after he suffered an ankle injury.

It now remains to be seen if Myles Bourne will be able to dethrone Page to win his first major championship of his WWE career.
