📌 Here’s what you’ll learn:

The Premier League has no official rules on whether any of its players can participate in Baller League UK.

The second series of the six-a-side competition kicked off on Monday and featured a masked footballer who is claimed to be an active Premier League player.

The mystery man, who was wearing number 14 and was fully disguised from head to toe, entered NDL FC – the team managed by social media star Niko Omilana.

“I can’t tell you who it is, they’re going to be in a lot of trouble,” the Celebrity Traitors star said in a video on social media.

The unknown footballer was brought on to take a free kick and then immediately substituted.

While the Premier League has no jurisdiction over whether players can play in the exhibition competition, it is up to the discretion of clubs whether their players are allowed to participate.

The Baller League side, whose managers include former England strikers Ian Wright and Alan Shearer, Arsenal and England striker Chloe Kelly, and actor Idris Elba, include a host of former Premier League and international players in their teams.

Former England and Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott will participate alongside former Republic of Ireland midfielder Stephen Ireland. His compatriot Ciaran Clarke is playing in his second season alongside Michael Hector, who played 45 international matches with Jamaica.

A number of current non-league players have been recruited to take part in the competition, which pays players between £300 and £800 per match.

The competition is also set to launch in the United States, with 2006 Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldinho and former Olympic athlete Usain Bolt confirmed as technical directors.
