Beau Greaves “I couldn’t believe it” as she made history by becoming the first woman to reach nine darts in the PDC ProTour.

The 22-year-old produced the perfect leg in her Players Championship 6 match against Mensur Suljovic in Leicester.

After back-to-back 180s, Graves had 141 triples with 20 triples, 19 triples and 12 doubles.

“I couldn’t believe I hit her,” she said. “I’ve missed hitting one a few times, so it was nice to finally hit one. It’s nice to be the first woman to hit one in the PDC ProTour.”

She went on to win 6-5 by taking the first leg, but was beaten 6-3 in the round of 16 by David Sharpe, who had earlier ousted former world champion Peter Wright.

Doncaster Greaves has dominated the women’s series in recent years and beat Luke Littler on her way to the World Junior Championship final, before losing a close first-round encounter with Daryl Gurney in the PDC World Darts Championship in December.

Wales’s Gerwyn Price won the event by dominating Andrew Gilding 8-1 in the final.
