Darts star Beau Greaves extended her impressive PDC Women’s Series winning streak to 72 matches with wins in the last two tournaments in Wigan on Saturday.
The 21-year-old from Doncaster announced on Friday that she will compete in the PDC World Championships, days after defeating world number one Luke Littler in the semi-finals of the World Youth Championships.
Her focus turns back to the women’s game this weekend and a series of four tournaments over two days – two on Saturday and two on Sunday – to conclude the PDC Women’s Series.
Greaves defeated Fallon Sherrock 5-4 in Saturday’s final, extending her tally to 11 straight wins in the tournament.
Saturday’s double means she has now won 16 of the 22 championships in the PDC Women’s Series this year.
Sherrock and fellow English player Lisa Ashton will join the three-time WDF Women’s World Champion in competition at the PDC World Championships, which begins at London’s Alexandra Palace on December 11.
She will also compete in the PDC Grand Slam in Wolverhampton in early November, before facing defending champion Gian van Veen of the Netherlands in the youth final in Minehead later next month.
The women’s series concludes in Wigan on Sunday with the final two events of the 24-tournament season.
