💡 Here’s what you’ll learn:
Manchester United striker Benjamin Sisko is set to miss almost a month due to a knee injury suffered against Tottenham Hotspur before the international break.
Sisco, who joined United from RB Leipzig for £74m in August, was injured during the 2-2 draw on November 8 and failed to finish the game after coming on as a second-half substitute.
Coach Ruben Amorim said afterwards that he did not know if the problem was serious, although club sources played down fears that the Slovenian striker had suffered a major injury.
However, the 22-year-old has been ruled out of Slovenia’s World Cup qualifiers and is now expected to miss around four weeks, although the exact length of his absence has yet to be determined.
Amorim is set to provide an update on the situation this week in a press conference ahead of Monday’s Premier League clash with Everton at Old Trafford (20:00 GMT).
This is likely to mean a short overlap with the departure of fellow strikers Bryan Mboumou and Amad Diallo for the Africa Cup of Nations, which begins in Morocco on December 21.
It is not expected that United, along with the rest of the English Premier League clubs, will be forced to release the players at the earliest available opportunity. They have a home game against Bournemouth on December 15.
Cisco has scored two goals in 12 matches since joining United.
