Not all sunrise clocks have these elements, so check the details carefully (and reviews like mine!) and note that cheaper, smaller sunrise alarms typically won’t light up the entire bedroom.

Are you picky about your alert sounds? Check the number of votes submitted. Almost every Sunrise watch has some sound machine features and options, but cheaper watches tend to only have two sounds and may not have the sound you’re looking for.

Do you want to control the application? Some of the options in this guide don’t have a partner app or Wi-Fi capabilities, especially some of my favorites. What are the best sunrise alarms?

This sunrise alarm clock is my favorite. It’s big, bright, has a sleek exterior, has a lamp mode button so you can easily turn it on to use in the evening as a regular lamp, and it was bright enough to fill my bedroom like a regular lamp. It has a great selection of sounds, and not only connects to the radio, but allows you to save five stations. There are sunrise and sunset settings. The biggest downside is that it only has a 24-hour clock, and it doesn’t connect to Wi-Fi or any app, so you have to manually set the time (and change it manually to save daylight saving time). If you want to spend less, the Shine 300 ($169) is a little smaller and has fewer sounds, but otherwise it’s also great.
