AEW veteran Dustin Rhodes just took to social media to post a heartfelt message after achieving a major milestone in his career. This comes after his uncertain future.
The Natural has not been in the ring for over five months as he recovers from a serious injury. He underwent double knee replacement surgery and is focusing on his rehabilitation, as he embarks on the journey towards his return to the ring.
Dustin Rhodes just took to social media to talk about AEW’s 7th anniversary. He thanked Tony Khan and everyone at the company for the trust they placed in him as one of their contractors, and to all the people in his life, including fans, for their continued support. He then mentioned how he hoped to continue being a major part of the company once he returned to the ring
“Wow, 7 years have gone by so fast. Thank you to @TonyKhan and @AEW for believing in this old man, and thank you so much to all of you fans for letting me entertain you the best I can, and for your continued love for me and my family. Blessed and will always #KeepSteppin for you and me! Love you all! ❤️🤘🏼”
Dustin Rhodes reveals part of his retirement plans
After several decades in the industry, Dustin Rhodes admitted that he is now in the latter parts of his career. But he still wants to keep moving forward and end this when the time is right.
A fan on X/Twitter asked him if he would do a podcast and talk about his time in wrestling. The veteran responded to this and revealed that he was actually planning to do so. He mentioned a big difference that his podcast would have compared to others, and that’s how he wasn’t calling himself out or talking negatively about anyone.
“Yes! When I retire as a couple, I plan on it. What I won’t do is talk bad about people in this business. Too many announcers and wrestlers talk bad about our brothers and sisters,” he wrote.
For now at least, Rhodes is constantly working toward his return to the ring. He can go on to the final round after that to properly end his career.
We at Sportskeeda hope for his speedy recovery.
