Ben Whittaker will headline against Benjamin Gavazzi in Birmingham in his Matchroom promotional debut on November 29.
British Olympic silver medalist Boxxer left to join Eddie Hearn’s stable at the beginning of October.
Whittaker (28 years old) will record his undefeated record against German Gavazzi in a light heavyweight bout.
“Ben Whittaker is the greatest signing any promoter in the world could make and he has risen from the start in front of his home fans in Birmingham,” Hearn said.
Gavazzi will fight outside of Germany for only the second time in his career, and is on a 19-fight unbeaten streak since losing his first professional bout in 2018.
The contenders will compete for the vacant World Boxing Council (WBC) light heavyweight “silver” title.
Whittaker is currently ranked ninth in the WBC rankings for the world title held by David Benavidez.
Benavidez is scheduled to defend the belt against Londoner Anthony Yarde on November 22 in Saudi Arabia.
Former UFC fighter Molly McCann also works at the National Exhibition Centre.
McCann began her boxing career with a win in Belfast in September.
The co-main event will be a rematch between lightweights Cameron Fong and Gavin Gwynn.
