Boxing: Caroline Dubois vs. Terry Harper to headline Jake Paul’s UK MVP debut event

WBC champion Caroline Dubois will face WBO beltholder Terry Harper in a lightweight unification bout on April 5 at the Olympia in London.

The much-anticipated all-British match will headline the first event for Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions in the UK.

Ellie Scotney will main event the Undisputed Match, while fellow Britons Chantelle Cameron and Emma Dolan will also feature on the undercard in world title fights.

Fight Night sees Sky Sports return to the boxing market as a broadcaster after signing a deal with MVP.

The broadcaster has a long history in the sport having worked in the past with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom and Frank Warren’s Queensberry, but the deal with MVP is their first since opting not to renew their deal with Ben Shalom’s Boxxer last summer.

Nakisa Bedarian, CEO of MVP, said: “This event represents a major milestone for MVP as we bring our brand to the UK for the first time and do so with Sky Sports, with a card that reflects the scale, depth and ambition of women’s boxing today.”

Scotney, 27, is aiming to become undisputed super bantamweight champion when she faces WBA titleholder Mayele Flores Rosquero.

The undefeated Scotney could become the fourth undisputed British champion of the four-belt era if she beats the 33-year-old Mexican.

Northampton fighter Cameron has a chance to become light middleweight world champion against undefeated Michaela Kotaskova in their WBO title fight.

Former undisputed lightweight champion Cameron’s only loss came to Ireland’s Katie Taylor in 2023 while 34-year-old Czech fighter Kotaskova has 11 wins and two draws on her record.

Dolan, 27, from Norwich, will aim to obtain her first world title when she faces Irma Garcia, the experienced International Boxing Federation super-flyweight champion.

The Mexican has 35 fights compared to Dolan’s eight, and she is 17 years older than her at 44.
