Veteran promoter Frank Warren has confirmed he is considering legal action against Saudi-owned Sela and US company TKO.

Warren has enjoyed a productive partnership with Turki Al-Sheikh and Sela in recent years, but the arrival of Dana’s white-fronted Zoffa Boxing, jointly owned by both Sela and TKO, has caused tension behind the scenes.

Sela is a state-owned Saudi entertainment company, and TKO Group Holdings is a media giant that owns the UFC and WWE.

Warren alleges that Sela and TKO went behind his back to form Zuffa Boxing, which he claims violates contracts he already signed with the two entities.

Sela said in a statement that she was “disappointed” by the allegations and “rejects them in their entirety.”

“It’s just a difference of opinion about the contracts we’ve signed, so it will take its course,” Warren told BBC Sport.

“I can’t comment on this matter. It is what it is and will take its course.”

The potential legal action comes after it emerged that Warren had a limited role in Tyson Fury’s comeback fight in April on Netflix.

The fight is primarily organized by Sela and Netflix, and TKO president Mark Shapiro claims that Zuffa Boxing will be tasked with promotional duties around the fight in place of Queensberry.

Fury is signed to Queensberry and has been since he resumed his boxing career in 2018.
