✅ **What You’ll Learn**:

Officials from the International Cricket Council and the Pakistan Cricket Board will meet in Lahore on Sunday for talks on Pakistan’s planned boycott of the T20 World Cup match against India next week.

ICC Vice President Imran Khawaja and Mubashir Usmani, a member of the Executive Committee, will meet PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi.

Bangladesh Cricket Board Chairman Aminul Islam will also be present.

Bangladesh has withdrawn from the T20 World Cup, which began on Saturday, after the ICC rejected its request to move its matches from India amid rising political tensions.

The Pakistani government then said its team would boycott the match against India on February 15, with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif saying the decision was taken to “support” Bangladesh.

If Pakistan boycotts the match, they will lose the available points and missing the match could have serious consequences for the match, as it is the most lucrative in the sport.

This could lead to disputes over the ICC’s current rights deals, and continued uncertainty could impact future agreements, with current television deals set to expire after the 2027 World Cup.
