The scramble for the Solheim Cup places heats up this week as the LET returns to competition in Saudi Arabia with the PIF Saudi Women’s International.
The United States recorded its first win in the event since 2017 to reclaim the trophy in Virginia in 2024.
European captain Anna Nordqvist’s strong 12-player squad will include the top two qualifying players from the LET Solheim Cup points list, the top six qualifying players in the Women’s World Golf Ranking and four selections.
Double qualifying spots are available through 2026 as the team takes on the United States at Bernardus Golf Club in the Netherlands from September 11-13, to be decided after the AIG Women’s Open, which concludes on August 2.
But while Charlie Hull, Carlota Ciganda and Celine Potier will be among the European Solheim Cup champions chasing points in the season opener in Riyadh (February 11-14), their former teammate Law admitted she has “absolutely no idea” how she will perform having last played in September.
“It’s not the best preparation I’ve ever done this season,” she said with a smile.
“I have absolutely no idea what is going to happen, but preparation comes in all shapes and sizes.
“Sometimes, I’ve had weeks where I’m feeling really good going into an event and then I miss a shot.
“Similarly, I’ve had times where I’ve felt really hurt going into the tournament, and I’m not in a really great place, and I’m going to do really well.”
