Cardi B is threatening to sue TMZ over a robot’s “lap dance” video where she has a mishap

Cardi B, who is currently dating New England Patriots star Stefon Diggs, was seen exiting the InterContinental San Francisco hotel. While on her way out, she playfully interacted with the robot, and attempted to give it a “lap dance.” The encounter became funny when the robot unexpectedly fell on her, prompting her to give a startled reaction.

After the video went viral, the 33-year-old rapper threatened to sue TMZ. I wrote:

“Delete or I will sue you…immediately.”

“I’m calling Harvey!!”

Cardi B did several dance moves and imitated kissing the robot’s face before falling to the ground with the robot. Despite the fall, the Grammy Award-winning rapper got up with the help of bystanders and photographers.

The event coincided with her support of Diggs and the New England Patriots ahead of the Super Bowl game against the Seattle Seahawks.

When asked by reporters if Cardi B would be making a surprise guest appearance alongside Bad Bunny, the WR star played it smart. He said:

He said, “I don’t know. We can call her and ask her.”

Rumors have it that the New York native is the favorite to perform at the halftime show. BetOnline lists an odd number of -200, while other artists such as Karol G, Marc Anthony, Travis Scott and Rauw Alejandra are also in the mix.

Diggs and the rapper went public with their relationship in early 2025 and welcomed their first son together in November 2025. When asked if Diggs would get down on one knee for Cardi B, his response was:

“It’s probably on the agenda, right? I have to get mine first.”
