“Jack is a strong guy, he’s a strong athlete, so when I get into that position, I’m so low, it holds you back,” Tizzano said, recalling their collision.

“I had nerve damage in my neck previously, and if anyone has nerve damage, it’s like having boiling water poured from your neck all the way down to your arm trap.

“I hit my head, I got fired up, I’m going to grab my head…so yeah, that’s what happened.”

Tizzano, who played for the Ealing Trailfinders in the Championship during the 2022-23 season before returning to his homeland and making his way to the Wallabies, said Morgan sought him out after Australia’s win in the third Test in Sydney the following weekend.

“He immediately came to me and spoke to me and said: ‘My friend, I hope you are well, I think you had a great run and you are a great player,'” Tizano said.

“I really appreciate him. He didn’t have to do it, but he’s number seven, he gets it. He gets the weekly grind of what you have to put your body through, even just training.”

Tizzano has made four appearances for the Wallabies since the end of the Lions’ run, most recently starting in their 19-15 win over Japan last month.
