Carlos Alcaraz himself has publicly expressed his support for Jaime in the past. For example, during his 2025 Australian Open campaign, the Spaniard was asked about his younger brother winning a qualifying match at a junior tournament in France. Here Alcaraz said:
“I just support him every time. It doesn’t matter that I’m in the other part of the world. I’m just trying to support him, support him, try to (remove) all the pressure that people put on him. I’m just happy to see him grow and become, let’s say, a grown man.”
Jaime is also a supportive brother. The youngster gave an emphatic reaction after his older brother became the youngest men’s singles tennis player to complete a Grand Slam at this year’s Australian Open.

Thanks to his top seed status in the men’s singles main draw at the 2026 Miami Open, Carlos Alcaraz received a bye in the first round and ended up drawing with Joao Fonseca in the second round. The talented 19-year-old Brazilian gave the Spaniard some nervous moments, but in the end, it was the No. 1 who took the match 6-4, 6-4.
Sebastian Korda, seeded No. 32, awaits Alcaraz in the third round. The American and Spanish players faced each other on five previous occasions, and the latter was ahead 4-1 in the confrontation.
Alcaraz is a former champion in Miami, having won the title in 2022; His first at the ATP Masters 1000 level. Since then, he has added seven more Masters titles to his collection, which now includes 26 singles titles.
