Chris Jericho shares a personal update amid widespread WWE return rumors

AEW star Chris Jericho shared a personal moment on social media as rumors of his return to WWE continue to circulate. His contract with the Jacksonville-based promotion appears to expire in December 2025. There are no reports yet on whether or not he will extend his contract. He reportedly took a hiatus in April to tour Fozzy, but has yet to return.

However, an update claimed that Le Champion may go to the global sports entertainment giant for a retirement tour and Hall of Fame induction. While fans are concerned about the former world champion’s situation in AEW, he has been enjoying his time off.

Chris Jericho recently took to Instagram to share his recent whereabouts. Demo God was at Paul McCartney’s concert with his friends.

“After over 15 years of being in a group text called ‘The Fab Three’, I finally got to see @paulmccartney with two of my best friends and biggest @thebeatles fans, @mikeportnoy and @charbenante last night!!! My trip to Chicago wasn’t easy, but I made it and 83 year old Sir Paul was charming as always!!” Jericho wrote.

Tony Khan talks about Chris Jericho

The former AEW World Champion has not been seen in the company in over seven months.

While talking to Adam Apple in New York CityTony Khan said he would like Chris Jericho to retire from AEW when the god of the show wants him to.

“We love having Chris in AEW, I would definitely say that, and I would love for Chris to have his final matches in AEW eventually — when Chris wants to quit one day — but I also don’t think Chris is really close to that point,” Khan said. “He’s had a great run with us. He’s still a big part of AEW, and I love Chris. In and out of the ring.”

It will be interesting to see where fans will watch Le Champion in 2026.
