💡 **What You’ll Learn**:

Northern Ireland international Conor McMenamin has returned to the League of Ireland Premier League, joining Coleraine from St Mirren on a long-term deal after agreeing a permanent move.

The 30-year-old signed for the Scottish side from Glentoran in 2023 and started in the League Cup final win over Celtic last season.

McMenamin won the last of his 14 caps in June 2024, with his only international goal to date coming in a Euro 2024 qualifier against San Marino.

He also had previous spells in the League of Ireland with Linfield, Warrenpoint Town and Cliftonville.

He excelled in his two-and-a-half years at the Glens, scoring 33 goals in 66 appearances to mark his move across the waters.

His arrival strengthens a Coleraine side that won the Irish Cup and finished runners-up in the Premier League under Ruaidhry Huggins last season and will be looking to win the Gibson Cup for the first time since 1974 next season.

“This is a really exciting signing for the football club,” manager Coleraine Higgins said.

“He will play with us in a system where we feel we will put him in good areas of the pitch and he can show his real talent.

“When his name comes up in conversation, you might think what his hunger might be like coming home, but when I spoke to him, he is a true professional and is desperate to succeed.

He added: “He made it clear that he wants to help us win titles and now we are in a position to win and he is excited about that.”

This becomes the Bannsiders’ second summer signing, following the recent arrival of Ben Doherty from Derry City.
