Wrexham inflicted Coventry’s first league defeat of the season when they won a 3-2 thriller at Stoke Cay Ras in October.
“It was a huge match and a huge performance here,” Hiyam said.
“It was a great game under the lights on the field, and I think it was one of the first opportunities I had to play under the lights here.
“We beat them 3-2, which was a great game and a great occasion for this club.
“They have some great, talented players up the pitch, but so do we.”
While reaching the play-offs is Hiyam’s main focus, there is also the possibility of being included in Scotland’s World Cup squad.
Hiyam won his second cap – three years after making his debut – in Scotland’s 1-0 friendly defeat by Ivory Coast at Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium in March.
Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson said continued good form from the former Reading player would give him every chance of securing a place in Steve Clarke’s squad.
“One step at a time, one game at a time,” Hiyam said.
“All I can focus on is my performance and I hope I can maintain my fitness and finish the season well.”
