📌 Main takeaway:

Football runs very much in the Laird family.

Craig began his career working at Plymouth Argyle and managed non-league clubs including Weston-super-Mare and Bridgwater Town.

Scott, one of four brothers, has had a prolific career in the Premier League, most notably with Preston, with whom he won promotion to the Championship in 2015.

His brothers Callum and Jamie played at non-league level, while another brother, also called Craig, played at university level in the United States.

Craig Sr and Scott began their managerial spell together early – recording one win, one draw and one loss in their last three league games – but are working “in sync”.

“I’m sure we’ll have some disagreements,” Scott said. “At the moment, we see the game the same way, we try to recruit the same players that we believe in, and we have to do that at the moment to bring in a few players.

“We’re very in sync with doing that and that’s a good thing and I’m sure it will continue. I’m sure we’ll hit some bumps in the road but that’s a healthy thing.”
