✅ **What You’ll Learn**:

Premier League clubs need to complete a ‘Deal Sheet’ in order to complete the transfer within the final two hours of the transfer window.

Clubs often leave their transfer dealings until the last minute and therefore have to submit a form to the Premier League to confirm that a transfer can go ahead.

The deal paper allows the club to confirm that an agreement has been reached and give itself more time to submit the remaining documents.

The Premier League and English Football League have set a transfer deadline of Monday 2 February at 19:00 GMT.

The deal sheet cannot be used before 17:00 GMT and must be filled out before the close of the transfer window.

Once the deal paper arrives with the Premier League, clubs have an additional two hours, or until 21:00 GMT to submit all the required paperwork.

If all necessary paperwork is not submitted after the deadline has passed, you will not be able to proceed with the transfer.

The Premier League said a record number of nine deal papers had been handed in on the 2024 deadline.

Enzo Fernandes completed his move to Chelsea from Benfica in January 2023 after the Blues submitted a last-minute deal sheet to go through with the deal.

However, Blackburn Rovers failed to sign Orlando City’s Duncan McGuire in 2024 after the club failed to submit a deal sheet to the Premier League system on time.
