Dreo Spring Best Sale: Air Fryer, Heater, Fans

I never thought I’m happy to eat steak from the air fryer. But the Dreo Chefmaker is not just an air fryer.

It is instead a meat machine. It’s one of the most demanding cookers I tested last year, capable of cooking a ribeye steak to whatever temperature you set, then browning on the outside (though not really burning it) at about 500 degrees F while maintaining moisture inside. The same goes for grilled chicken. Or for pork chops.

It’s not just an air fryer, you see, although it will get you absolutely crispy for some wings, kids, or French fries. It’s also a combi cooker, venting the oven with steam to lock in moisture on larger cuts of meat. It’s also an app-controlled probe cooker, which you can set to slowly bring your meat up to temperature before you finish heating it.

Anyway, it’s now almost half off — or at least 44 percent off — on Dreo’s website during the brand’s spring sales. This is the lowest price I’ve ever seen on this device.

Chances are, this low price isn’t just spring fever. Dreo has long indicated that it soon plans to release a somewhat streamlined, AI-driven successor called Chefmaker 2. This sharp price cut is a good sign that a second-generation device will likely be released soon. But if you like steaks and cuts that are easy to cook deliciously to temperature, and don’t worry about AI recipes, just get the good price for this product.

Just note that although probe-assisted cooking is very well regulated temperature-wise, the thermostat on a “classic” non-probe air fryer or toaster oven can swing off target by 20 degrees or so. This applies to a lot of ovens, and it’s true here.
