✅ Here’s what you’ll learn:

Under Tuchel, England played in a 4-3-3 system with wingers on either side of striker Kane.

Arsenal striker Bukayo Saka is the first choice to play on the right, with Newcastle’s Anthony Gordon or Barcelona’s Marcus Rashford on the left.

This means there will be fierce competition for who will play behind Kane in the No. 10 role, with a high-profile name likely to be missing from the World Cup squad.

Tuchel mentioned Bellingham, Rogers and Foden as options in the number 10, as well as Chelsea’s Cole Palmer, who is currently nursing a thigh injury, and Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White, who was left out of the final squad. Arsenal’s Eberechi Eze is another candidate in the current squad.

The German said he was unlikely to select five of the No. 10 players in his World Cup squad, adding: “I don’t see how that will help us.”

He said that anyone who loses will not be “because they don’t deserve it individually” but because “they will always do what is best to win.”

“We will always do what is best to achieve balance and try to maintain clarity, even if it means we have to make difficult decisions,” he added.

He added: “We make difficult decisions in any camp, and this will not change when we go to the tournament.”

Tuchel added that he saw Foden playing as a hybrid player between a number 8 and a number 10 at City, so “maybe in the coming months” he could be considered playing in a midfield role.

England have qualified for the 2026 World Cup finals in the USA, Canada and Mexico with two matches to go.

The team hosts Serbia at Wembley on Thursday before visiting Albania on Sunday.

Rogers has impressed under Tuchel, starting five games and featuring in all eight of the German’s charge – although a hamstring injury could give Bellingham the chance to start against Serbia.
