England winger Henry Arundel is available for Saturday’s Six Nations clash with Ireland at Twickenham following his red card last weekend.
The 23-year-old held a disciplinary hearing on Tuesday after picking up two yellow cards in the 31-20 Six Nations defeat to Scotland.
Arundel was faulted for not releasing his opponent early in the match and then received a second yellow card for knocking Kyle Steyn out of the air.
The Bath winger received an automatic red card for 20 minutes meaning his team-mates were down to 14 men for 30 minutes.
The hearing concluded that “no other punishment was appropriate.”
A statement said: “The player admitted that he committed wrongdoing that led to the two yellow cards being shown.
“In these circumstances (including the issuance of the first yellow card for a ‘technical infringement’, and the issuance of the second yellow card for a completely different foul), [it was decided that] “Sending the player off was punishment enough.”
Arundel scored four tries in two matches – a hat-trick against Wales and England’s opening try at Murrayfield.
He could still be replaced by Tommy Freeman or Elliot Daly when the squad is announced later on Tuesday.
Emmanuel Faye-Wabuso is likely to miss the rest of the tournament due to injury.
