Chelsea’s losses to Paris Saint-Germain in the two legs of the Champions League came between them after a 1-0 defeat at home to Newcastle United.
The defeat to the Magpies left the Stamford Bridge club sixth in the Premier League – one point behind fifth-placed Liverpool – and out of the Champions League qualification places with eight games remaining.
“Every manager goes through tough weeks,” Rosenior said.
“I’ve been through difficult periods before. I’ve lost games in many jobs, as all managers have done. We need to find a way to fight at Everton and get through a difficult period.”
He added: “You want to be in the Champions League. This makes everything clearer, not just financially. This club deserves to be in the Champions League. That is the goal.”
Rosenior, who will be without defender Trevo Chalupa “for about six weeks”, said social media criticism of him passing a message to his players when the team was 8-2 down on aggregate to Paris Saint-Germain “doesn’t bother me”.
“The reality is that I have to help this club win games. If I don’t do that, if I breathe wrongly or sneeze wrongly, people will talk about it. It doesn’t affect me. It’s my job to be aware. Am I surprised? ” The Blues coach said. no”.
He added: “Regarding Tuesday’s match, things did not go at all the way we wanted.
“My distribution of the memo is not a reflection that my message did not reach the players.”
