💡 Key idea:

name: EsDeeKid.

age: unknown.

appearance: Let’s not talk here – it’s Timothée Chalamet.

I don’t know who EsDeeKid is. EsDeeKid is a Merseyside rapper who recently had his first top 10 hit and is currently three places in the UK Top 40.

He looks like Timothée Chalamet? Oh yeah, EsDeeKid looks like Timothée Chalamet. It seems only Like Timothée Chalamet.

Are you suggesting that EsDeeKid is actually Timothée Chalamet in disguise? I cannot comment on such unverified rumours. But the entire Internet can. And it is. Relentlessly.

Something must be fueling this conspiracy. A lot: First and foremost, the fact that EsDeeKid’s identity is very secret, and he was only photographed in disguise. But the unmasked parts of him — his eyes and the bridge of his nose — look exactly like Chalamet’s parts.

Interesting. Also remember that Chalamet loves to rap. Not only did he rap on Saturday Night Live, but he also rapped at school under the moniker Lil Timmy Tim.

This is hardly anything to get past. What about the fact that Chalamet was spotted at the London show of famous EsDeeKid collaborator Fakemink? What about the fact that according to amateur TikTok sleuths, they both have the same scarf?

I changed my mind. This cannot be denied. Okay now, wait a minute. GQ recently did some serious investigative reporting on the matter and discovered that on October 9, EsDeeKid was performing in Milan while Chalamet was attending a screening of his upcoming film, Marty Supreme, in New York.

He couldn’t jump Offstage, race to the airport and fly to New York? Unless he crossed the Atlantic in a fighter plane, that was impossible. Although we don’t forget that Chalamet once arrived at a premiere on a Lime bike, so commandeering an F-22 Raptor just to add fire to a vague Internet conspiracy theory wouldn’t be completely out of character.

Or what if Chalamet hired a stunt double to perform in Milan? Oh, stop. Have you ever thought about the possibility that the Internet can sometimes be wrong about things?

I find that hard to believe. However, EsDeeKid isn’t even the first musical act to find itself at the center of a conspiracy like this. Remember Klaatu?

from? They were a Canadian band from the 70s. After people heard their first album, a rumor started that it was produced by The Beatles.

I bet this enhanced their reputation. Kind of. On the one hand, it made them so popular that the Carpenters ended up covering their song “Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft.” On the other hand, once word got out that they were just a regular band from Toronto, everyone lost interest.

So EsDeeKid is definitely not Timothée Chalamet? Maybe not. Unless it is, in which case, you heard it here first.

Say: “You never see EsDeeKid and Timothée Chalamet in the same room together.”

Don’t say: “I’m Esdi Kid.”
