✅ **What You’ll Learn**:
XBrew Lab debuted its countertop nitro brew machine, the EverNitro, at CES this week, offering nitro coffee enthusiasts a more convenient way to enjoy the brew — without the waste and expense of traditional cartridge-based machines.
If you’re not familiar with nitro coffee, it’s cold brew coffee infused with nitrogen gas. This process creates tiny bubbles, resulting in a silky smooth taste and a naturally sweeter aftertaste – like drinking a Guinness. Many people also notice that nitro coffee is less bitter.
EverNitro positions itself against competitors like NitroBrew as an affordable, long-term all-in-one solution. “We offer commercial tap quality with the footprint of a coffee machine. While others sell you gas, we give you the technology to harvest it for free,” said Terry Tan, founder and CEO.
The company claims that EverNitro provides 95% nitrogen purity and highlights its ability to generate nitrogen directly from ambient air. By eliminating the need for single-use cartridges, the device provides a lower cost and environmentally friendly solution for home use.

After testing it ourselves, we were pleasantly surprised. The machine is easy to use, and can be easily placed on the counter or conveniently stored on a shelf – making it a great addition to any kitchen or bar. The can accommodates coffee or cocktails for a bar-quality twist or other beverages. Users can choose their preferred pressure, which ranges from 0 to 8 bar (metric unit of pressure).
The entire process, from filling your drink to enjoying the finished drink, takes just minutes. There is also a companion app that provides updates.
The device was launched on Kickstarter in October and has raised more than $570,000, which is evidence of the strong interest in this product despite its premium price. The Lite option costs $470 and includes just the machine and case, while backers can purchase it for $290. The Pro version is $583 (or $337 for backers) and comes with the machine, two cans, a coffee bean storage jar, and whipped cream tools. However, for comparison’s sake, a countertop unit from NitroBrew costs about $1,000.

Looking to the future, Tan told TechCrunch that the team is “exploring how gases can essentially lift the body of all drinks, not just coffee. Imagine a machine that doesn’t just dispense; it intelligently mixes a cocktail or brews coffee and then automatically chooses the ideal gas profile to enhance its body and mouthfeel.”
