Former NHLer Ryan Kesler has been charged with two counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct, a misdemeanor in Michigan.

The alleged incident occurred on January 1 in Orchard Lake, near his hometown of Livonia. Orchard Lake police investigated for about 10 months before filing charges last week.

He played in the NHL for 15 seasons and spent ten seasons with the Canucks. During the 2014-15 season, the Canucks traded Kesler to the Anaheim Ducks, with whom he played for five years before retiring in 2019.

Kesler played in 1,001 games during his career, amassing 573 points on 258 goals and 315 assists. In the playoffs, he had 65 points with 24 goals and 41 assists in 101 games. He has also represented Team USA at the Olympic Games.
