FA Cup: Wrexham duo Nathan Broadhead and Kiefer Moore are plotting to topple former club Ipswich Town

After joining Ipswich from Everton in January 2023, Brodhead scored eight goals in 19 league appearances to help the Tractor Boys to promotion from League One.

He scored 13 league goals in the 2023-24 season as Kieran McKenna’s side gained promotion to the Premier League, ending the club’s 22-year absence from the top flight.

“They were in League One at the time and my ambition was to play in the Premier League with this club, which we did,” Brodhead said.

“It’s been really good for me and my career, so I’m grateful for that.

“We had the same team, close to the top flight, and everyone knew how each other played. It was a crazy few years, to be fair, some of the best years of my career.”

Moore – who was also with Ipswich in 2017-18 – spent the latter half of the 2023-24 season alongside Broadhead at Portman Road, scoring seven goals as they secured promotion to the top flight.

“I can only speak highly of this club,” Moore said of Ipswich. “Everything about this club is fantastic.”

“I have very fond memories of the place of course. The promotion to the Premier League was incredible. I’ll be looking forward to seeing some of the players.”
