✅ **What You’ll Learn**:

Facebook announced Wednesday that it will launch “Creator Fast Track,” a new program designed to help creators grow on Facebook with guaranteed pay and increased access to content. The social network also shared that it will pay creators nearly $3 billion through its monetization programs in 2025, a 35% increase from the previous year and its highest annual total to date.

The idea behind the new monetization program is to attract creators who have built a following on other platforms to start publishing on Facebook. Instead of starting from scratch on a new platform, creators can use the program to achieve increased access to eligible Reels to help accelerate their follower growth, as well as three months of guaranteed pay for sharing eligible Reels on Facebook.

Creators on the program can earn $1,000 a month if they have at least 100,000 followers on Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube, and $3,000 a month if they have more than 1 million followers on any of those platforms.

The program also gives eligible creators immediate access to Facebook content monetization tools without requiring them to meet the platform’s usual criteria, such as a minimum number of followers, allowing them to continue earning from posts even after the Creator Fast Track program ends.

“We wanted to be able to address creators’ concerns that it will be a difficult road to join Facebook and build a community from scratch and build a following,” Yair Livni, Facebook’s vice president of creator product, said in a briefing with reporters. “So we created this program to address that.”

Livni noted that if creators take longer than three months to build their audience on Facebook, the company will continue to support them. Although the financial reward only lasts for three months, Facebook will continue to boost its reach to the point where the company believes the creator has found their audience on Facebook.

“You don’t need to create exclusive, completely new content for this program to meet our initial publishing requirements,” Livni said. “Obviously we’d love for you to bring us your latest and greatest, but if you have a great catalog of greatest hits, we’d love to have that too, and that qualifies for the terms of the program. We’re very excited about this. This is something that addresses a lot of the feedback we’ve heard from established creators that we’ve tried to entice, or that were interested in joining us.”

As part of the announcement, the social network shared that the number of creators earning more than $10,000 per year on Facebook has increased by more than 30% year over year. Additionally, 60% of Facebook’s total payments to creators last year went to Reels, while the rest went to Stories, photos, and text posts.

Facebook also announced that it will introduce new metrics to help creators better understand their earnings.

The new “Eligible Views” metric tells creators how many views on their content may be eligible to earn money. Livni explained that there are several reasons why this point of view may be disqualified. For example, when someone watches just one second of a creator’s video before scrolling away.

The new Earning Rate metric will show approximate earnings per 1,000 eligible views, while the Ineligible Views metric will show why certain views are not eligible and what creators can do to improve earnings from future content.
